Make and Mail PDF files with VBA code on your Mac. Below you find examples for Excel 2011 and Excel 2016 for the Mac, if you are a Windows user check out the code in the Win Tips section of my site. Excel 2016 for the Mac Save as PDF in Mac Excel 2016 (29-7-2017) Below you can find example VBA code to save as PDF in Mac Excel 2016. Important: The file location can be very important in Mac Excel 2016, read: Problems with Apple’s sandbox requirements in Mac Office 2016 and higher with VBA code. Example for Mac Excel 2011 and 2016 and higher. Note: Do not forget to copy the bIsBookOpen function below the macro. However, if your macro was written for the Office version of Excel 2016 it may not work with the Office 365 version of Excel you're running on your Mac without recompiling it. Either that, or you may have macros turned off in Office 365. (A stand alone version of Office 2016 has not yet been released for the Mac.).
Hi all,
I am experiencing an issue that I cannot solve. Both users have an Office 365 subscription, but are running slightly different versions of Excel. I am able to run the macros on one computer (using Excel for Mac 16.20). However, the macros do not work and error out on another computer (using Excel for Mac 16.29.1, the latest version). I get a compile error: object feature library not supported on the second computer running the latest version of Excel. Has anyone heard of macros being compromised after a minor upgrade like this? I have uploaded a screenshot of the issue that occurs for reference.
Thank you for your help and ideas!

Unlike other versions of Office apps that support VBA, Office 2016 for Mac apps are sandboxed.
Sandboxing restricts the apps from accessing resources outside the app container. This affects any add-ins or macros that involve file access or communication across processes. You can minimize the effects of sandboxing by using the new commands described in the following section.
